How to Create Your Own Home Espresso Bar

Americans drink around 40 million cups of coffee a day, which shows how much we love our morning brew.

Drinking coffee is the perfect way to kickstart your day, so it’s no surprise that we want to design our espresso bar. But there is a certain etiquette to follow so it’s the ultimate place to get our fix. Perhaps you’ve been toying about getting this new addition, but you’re not sure where to start.

Sounds like you? Don’t worry, you’ve come to the right place. Here’s how to create your own home espresso bar.

Find the Perfect Spot

The first step is to find a designated space for your coffee station. You can dedicate a corner of the kitchen, a sideboard, or if you have little room, then a bar cart. Also, decide whether you want to gaze out the window or if you’re happy looking into the room.

Gather Your Supplies

Once you’ve decided on the counter space, make sure you store My (next) Espresso Machine, sugar, and other snacks that best complement a hot drink. You should also add a jug of infused water with lemon or strawberry to keep you hydrated.

And depending on how much counter space you have, store your favorite mugs on the espresso bar to curate an inviting area where you can unwind.

Install Tiered Shelving

If your coffee maker is taking too much space, then install tiered shelving so you can maximize the space. Here, you can store extra packets of coffee, tea, and sugar. Also, add your less-used pieces of glass where so there’s zero clutter.

Consider the Seating Arrangement

Another important factor of your coffee bar is the seating arrangement. Decide which type of chair makes you feel the most relaxed, whether it’s a plush chair or a loveseat where you can enjoy coffee with your partner. As you brainstorm ideas, remember the goal is to create a separate, casual area rather than sipping coffee at your dining table.

Hang a Chalkboard

There’s no better way to embrace your espresso bar than by making it realistic. To do this, keep a chalkboard next to the space and write out the beverage selection. You can also do specials when it’s a family member’s birthday or a special event like Valentine’s Day.

Choose the Right Lighting

Set the mood by choosing the perfect lighting for your espresso bar. You can either embrace natural light by staying by the window or several pendant lights to create a safe atmosphere. Or, if you don’t have the space, then keep candles nearby for a cozy atmosphere.
